Prerequisites:
1. A Wifi or 4g network MUST be in place for the device to connect to.
2. Must sign into Countersign on device at start of business daily.
Recommendations:
1. We recommend Chrome as the default browser.
2. Recommend downloading a 3rd party ‘kiosk’ app on the tablet(s) you’re using. Point of Rental can’t suggest any particular Kiosk app, it’d be best for you to determine which app best suits your business flow, the aesthetic you want and usability you and your customers need.
3. Recommend setting the tablets to constantly ‘stay awake’.

4. Recommend that the tablet remain plugged in.
5. If, for any reason, you clear the browser cache on the tablet, we recommend you follow all the instructions below to verify your device is still registered.
Instructions:
On a separate computer:
1. Go to https://rentalesign.com
2. Login using your existing e-sign username and password. You can use the forgot password link if
you don't remember it.
3. Left-click the Configure Your Logo option at the top of the screen.
4. Upload your logo adhering to the dimension restrictions provided (Maximum of 250px X 100px)
5. Once the logo has uploaded, click save.
6. Left-click on the Company Details option at the top of the screen.
7. Left-click on the Show AIP Key button in the bottom left of the screen.
8. Copy the ENTIRE code that is displayed. You will need this to configure the Point of Rental
software.
9. Open the Point of Rental software.
10. Select 9.Configuration
11. Select Reports and Notifications.
12. Select System Email Setup.
13. Using the drop-down box, select eSign Setup.
14. Left-click the Edit button.
15. In the window, enter your e-sign account username in the eSign User Name field.
16. Paste the API key from earlier in the eSign API Key field.
17. You can optionally set up the notifications.
18. Left-click on the OK button.
On the tablet device…
1. Complete the first-time setup for the tablet itself. Steps for completing the first-time setup can
be found in the user manual for the tablet, starting on page 7.
2. For Android Tablets:
a. Select the ‘Play Store’ icon from the home screen.
b. Select the search field at the top of the screen to bring up the keyboard.
c. Type ‘Chrome’ in the search field.
d. Select the magnifying glass button on the keyboard to search.
e. Select the ‘Google Chrome: Fast & Secure’ app.
f. Select the ‘Install’ button.
3. For Windows Tablets:
a. Open the default browser, (Internet Explorer).
b. Search for ‘Chrome for Windows download’
c. Download and install the .exe file
4. For Apple Tablets:
a. Open the default browser, (Safari).
b. Go to https://apps.apple.com/
c. Click the magnifying glass icon, type Chrome in the search field and hit Enter.
d. Click the Chrome download.
e. Download and install the .exe file
3. Open Chrome on the tablet.
4. Enter the countersign url: https://rentalesign.com/countersign
5. Login using your existing e-sign username and password.
6. Enter a name for the device.
7. Select the Save option.
8. Enter the Register ID for the register to associate with the device. The Register ID is the name of
the POR user profile that will be using the device.
a. Open the Point of Rental software.
b. The name will be to the left of the date at the bottom of the Program Menu.
9. Click Save.
10. The device will load a page with the logo that was set up earlier.
Create A Shortcut on The Home Screen:
1. Select the 3 vertical dots in the upper-right screen of the Chrome web page.
2. Select the ‘Add to Home screen’ option from the list.
3. Select the ‘Add’ option.
4. You will get 2 messages stating the web page was sent to the Home Screen and that an icon has
been created on the Home Screen.
5. The icon will now be on the Home Screen of the tablet that will load the web page
automatically.
Download TeamViewer on the tablet for POR Support:
1. Select the ‘Play Store’ icon from the home screen.
2. Select the search field at the top of the screen to bring up the keyboard.
3. Type ‘TeamViewer Quicksupport’ in the search field.
4. Select the magnifying glass button on the keyboard to search.
5. Select the ‘TeamViewer Quicksupport’ app.
6. Select the ‘Install’ button.
To Use the TeamViewer QuickSupport:
1. Open the TeamViewer by selecting the ‘QuickSupport’ icon from the home screen.
2. The POR employee will navigate to https://start.teamviewer.support . This is stated on the left of
the TeamViewer screen.
3. The customer will give the POR employee the ID in the right side of the TeamViewer screen and
follow the prompts accordingly.
